The design of the Cappadocia Classic SD Limited Edition Swiss Army Knife by Victorinox was chosen from almost 900 entries by artists around the world tasked with the challenge of creating a Classic SD with the theme "Places of the World." 2018 marks the seventh year Victorinox has held this now-annual design contest, drawing entries from across the globe, the top ten of which now comprise the 2018 Contest Collection. These unique takes on a Victorinox bestseller don't stick around long.

The Cappadocia Classic SD depicts a scene with breathtaking hot air balloons in Cappadocia, Turkey, an area with extremely unique topography of honeycomb hills and towering boulders. In addition to the striking landscape, Cappadocia boasts centuries of human history, as people have long sought refuge underground in the naturally cavernous architecture of the land. This knife was designed by Ciprian Buzdugan from Romania to reflect his passion for travel.
